It all began..

with a girl and a dream: to show the world that Sex and the City lied to us all.  The girl’s take on the real single woman's journey through the wilds of NYC became Hot Mess In Manhattan, a monthly evening of ever-changing comedy and music.  The show garnered a huge fan base, a 2009 Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) Award, and eleven original, upbeat songs that have taken the Internet by storm, with over 63,000 YouTube hits.  Inspired, the girl set about evolving the show into a full-scale book musical, and three years, five drafts, and a lot of smudged eye-liner later…

Hot Mess In Manhattan: The Musical will have a two-week developmental production this fall in association with New York Theatre Barn and The Araca Project, a program of The Araca Group (Wicked, Rock of Ages, Urinetown).  Hot Mess In Manhattan: The Musical is a 90-minute musical comedy with a libretto by Cait & Meggie Doyle, a score by 12 of NYC's hottest new musical theater writers, and directed by David Ruttura (Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, Follies).
